A novel by Aline Rosenthal
The Guest Book
They signed in as strangers. The guest book remembered them.
The story
Six former school friends arrive at a remote Yorkshire B&B pretending not to know one another. Their sweet elderly host welcomes them by name, even though none of them used their real one.
The guest book remembers a buried crime from twenty-five years earlier. Cut off by worsening weather, the group begins to die one by one, and the woman serving tea may be the only person who knows why.
